Morning Car Rider Drop Off

Procedure for dropping children off at school…
 

1. Beginning at 8:48 a.m. vehicles will be allowed in the back lot. Vehicles will proceed in a line between the curb and roped cones. We will allow approximately 15 vehicles in at a time. After pulling up as far as possible, students will exit their vehicles. Once parents in those vehicles have dropped their children off, they will exit the parking lot and 15 more cars will enter.
2. Please do not exit your car in the drop off lane.  Eagle Pointe staff will be available to assist your child as they exit their vehicle.  Please have your students ready to exit your car, upon arrival to school.
3. Buses will drop-off in the front of the building. NO parents will be allowed to drop students off in the front when students are exiting the buses.
4. Students that arrive after 9:05 a.m. will need to go to the front and be checked in, by a parent or guardian, in the office.
5. The local police will enforce NO PARKING signs on Norwood Dr. and Vicarage and tickets will be issued if necessary.
6. Remember, IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO PASS A STOPPED SCHOOL BUS FROM EITHER DIRECTION WHILE ITS LIGHTS ARE FLASHING OR ITS STOP ARM IS OUT! Please do not pass any stopped school buses in our parking lots.
7. Students walking from their homes will enter the entrance in the front of the building.  
8. CARPOOLING is encouraged to help reduce traffic congestion.
9. For safety reasons, we STRONGLY discourage dropping off students by car in the front of the building.  The least amount of cars entering the front entrance at arrival the better.
10. Please obey all posted traffic and safety signs, including speed limits, when arriving at school.
11. As you leave the back parking lot, please note that a left hand turn onto Norwood Dr. from Vicarage is illegal between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on School days.

After School Dismissal Procedure
 

1. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. parents will be permitted into the back parking lot. Mrs. Weed or Mr. Weber will be directing traffic.  Cars will form single file lines along the back (North) parking lot. We average about 8 rows of approximately 15 cars.
2. At 3:40 p.m. students will exit out of the building to their parent’s vehicles. They will be walking in a single file line behind a teacher. They will walk up and down the rows until they find their vehicle. NO VEHICLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXIT THE PARKING LOT UNTIL ALL CHILDREN ARE IN THEIR VEHICLE.
3. If a student cannot find their vehicle, they will be escorted back to the curb and wait for their vehicle. If you don't have your child, please move towards the curb to pick up your child. Any child that is not picked up will be brought to the office. Parents will need to sign them out when they arrive.
4. All bus riders will be dismissed first, followed by walkers and car riders. Bus students will exit in front and locate their bus. The buses will be lined up in the same order every day
5. All the students who walk to school will follow the same procedure from the beginning of the year … Please remind your children to use the crosswalk at Norwood Dr. and Vicarage.
6. CARPOOLING is encouraged to help reduce traffic congestion.

8. Cars will be unable to pass the school buses as they load students after school.
