Thirty-two fifth graders from three District 202 elementary schools participated in the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 Elementary General Music and Chorus festival on Saturday, October 26, at Yorkville Middle School.
Music teachers nominated the students to attend the festival in either general music or choir. General music included using instruments such as drumming, xylophones, and recorders.
Students worked with teachers and other students during the day and presented a concert for families in the afternoon.
